Rathinam College of Arts and Science organised its 22nd Graduation Day at the Rathinam Grand Hall recently, during which 1,380 students were conferred with degree awards in various disciplines.
Balasubramani Thangavelu, Head of Strategic Business Operations, Samunnati, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Balasubramanian, Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the milestones achieved by the institution.
Manickam, CEO of the Rathinam Group of Institutions, emphasised that the college provides ample opportunities for students, particularly graduates with innovative business ideas.
He stated that the institution is prepared to support such ideas by providing the necessary pathways to help students achieve their aspirations. He also spoke on the growing importance and inevitability of artificial intelligence in the present era.

Shima Sendhil, Trustee and Director of the institutions, expressed her gratitude to all those present and extended her best wishes to the graduating students for their future endeavours.
In his address, the chief guest noted that while information is now readily available in classrooms, the role of teachers remains vital in preparing students to face real-life challenges.
He stated that degree awards are not merely certificates but proof of one’s life skills and academic accomplishments. He urged the graduates to adapt to changing situations in life and to continuously update their skills, adding that many present-day degrees may not remain relevant after five years.
Unni Krishnan, Regional Head of Nutrition, Nestlé India, an august guest at the event, addressed the graduates with the quote, “The future belongs to those who prepare today.” He encouraged them to stay relevant to contemporary developments, build industry networks, and strengthen their skills, while stressing that basic learning forms the foundation for all success.
Divyashree, Assistant Vice President – HR, Computer Age Management Services (CAMS), delivered the felicitation address, emphasising that character is the essence of success and a crucial qualification to attain, sustain, and regain one’s position in any field, alongside academic excellence.
The ceremony concluded with the graduation pledge, followed by a vote of thanks proposed by Suresh, Controller of Examinations.
