Southern Railways recently announced that 2 train services connecting Coimbatore with other locations will be temporarily cancelled in order to facilitate track maintenance works in various locations in the Palakkad division.
Accordingly, Train No. 66606 Palakkad Town – Coimbatore Junction MEMU, journey commencing on 5th March 2026, from Palakkad Town will be fully cancelled.
Likewise, Train No. 22610 Coimbatore Junction – Mangaluru Central Intercity Superfast Express will also have a change in operation on 5th March 2026. The train’s journey commencing from Coimbatore Junction, will be originating its journey from Palakkad Junction at 7 a.m. on the same day. This train service will be partially cancelled between Coimbatore Junction and Palakkad Junction.
