The 10th FMAE National Student Motorsport Competition commenced under the banner of Kumaraguru Institutions on 11th October 2025.
Rama Rao, Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party, inaugurated the event.
Over 70 student teams and more than 1,300 young engineers from various states across India showcased their vehicle design skills before a panel of industry experts.
The event is jointly organized by the Hyderabad-based Fraternity of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers (FMAE) and Kumaraguru Institutions, Coimbatore.
More than 1,000 engineering students from over 100 colleges across 13 states of India are participating in the competition.
The participating teams are required to design and build their own go- kart vehicles and bikes. These vehicles will be evaluated by experts on October 11 and 12.
Following this, the main races will be conducted from October 13 to 15 at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam, Coimbatore.
The inauguration ceremony was held at Kumaraguru Institutions, Coimbatore, in the presence of its Chairman, Shankar Vanavarayar.
