Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS), hosted a Budget Review event, “Decoding Budget 2026: Insights and Implications” in collaboration with the Finance Club recently.

The event brought together students, faculty, and industry experts to analyse and discuss the implications of Budget 2026.

Valarmathi, Principal/CEO of the college, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the significance of finance’s role in budget formulation and its impact on society.

She emphasised the benefits of the budget for society and encouraged students to participate actively in the event.

CA Raghul Chandramohan, Managing Partner, GRAD&COMPANY, delivered the chief guest address, sharing key amendments to the Income Tax Act, the agricultural sectors and explaining the insights and implications of Budget 2026.

Students presented their budget review presentations on various sectors, including Infrastructure and Logistics, Manufacturing and strategic Industries, Energy and green transition, Agriculture and Rural economy, MSMEs & Startups, Education and skill development, Healthcare and wellness, Textiles and Apparel, Tourism and Culture, Space & Frontier Technology, Youth and Sports excellence, Ocean Economy, and Defence.

The Chief Guest participated in the presentations, asking questions and clarifying doubts, providing valuable feedback to the students.

The event provided a platform for students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing their understanding of finance and budgeting.
