Vanathi Srinivasan, National President of BJP Mahila Morcha, who was actively campaigning for the upcoming state legislative election 2026, was hospitalised at Kovai Medical Center and Hospital on April 10, 2026, at 2:50 pm due to a mild infection in her right leg.
“She was started on antibiotics and other supportive medications and was advised bed rest for two days.
While undergoing treatment, she developed a mild allergic reaction to one of the medications and was shifted to the ICU for observation at around 8:00 pm on the same day.
She is now conscious, able to speak, and feeling much better. However, she will require treatment for at least three to four days for a complete recovery,” the hospital press release said.
