PSG College of Technology inaugurated the three-day International Conference on The AI Spectrum: Bridging Research, Industry, and Innovation today, 22 December 2025, at the college campus. The conference will continue until 24 December.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Ananthakrishnan, Director of Software Engineering at Cisco, Chennai, who released the inaugural video.
The college alumni Mukund Bhoovaraghavan, Principal Architect at Microsoft, Hyderabad, and Siva Visakan Sooriyan, Co-founder and CTO of Arcana, New York, USA, were the guests of honour.
Another guest of honour, Saldin Samuel, Co-founder of Haiva.ai, UK, was also present during the inauguration as a special dignitary.
Prakasan, Principal of the college, presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. He thanked the management for its vision in organising the conference to educate students on relevant technological advancements. He also emphasised that human intervention is necessary while using AI technologies.

Earlier, Karpagam, Director of the PSG-AI Consortium and Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, delivered the welcome address. Indumathi, Associate Professor, presented an overview of the AI Consortium.
The conference is supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, and serves as a pre-summit event for the AI Impact Summit 2026.
Following the inauguration, the AI Consortium and the AI Wing at the college were inaugurated by the chief guest.
