The CBSE Cluster VI Football Tournament 2025, hosted by Rathinam International Public School, concluded with a valedictory ceremony held at the Rathinam FC Ground.
Spanning five days from July 28 to August 1, the tournament brought together over 5,000 student-athletes from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, representing more than 300 CBSE schools.
The closing ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Pavan Kumar, District Collector of Coimbatore, and Madan Senthil, Chairman of Rathinam Group of Institutions, who served as the Chief Guests. Their encouragement underscored the critical role of sports in shaping youth and fostering holistic development.
Winners across all categories were honoured with gold and silver medals, championship trophies, and certificates.
In the Under-19 category, Omega Heartfulness School emerged as champions, with Gateway International School, Padur securing the runner-up position. The third place was shared by Velammal Vidhyalaya and Kshatriya Vidyasala English Medium School.
In the Under-17 category, Omega Heartfulness School again claimed the championship, followed by Velammal Vidhyalaya School as runners-up. The third place was jointly awarded to Velammal Vidhyashram and Chinmaya Vidyalaya.
The Under-14 category witnessed Rajendran Academy lifting the winner’s trophy, while The SCV Central School finished as runners-up. Shri Gurumukhi Vidyashram and Camford International School shared third-place honours.
The event also acknowledged the outstanding support of venue partners such as Sakthi College, Easwar College, Nehru College, ACC Ground, SNMV College, and SNGC College, who generously extended their grounds for the successful conduct of the tournament across ten football fields and five major venues, with Rathinam FC Turf serving as the central ground.
The CBSE Cluster VI Tournament stood not only as a competitive sporting platform but also as a celebration of discipline, teamwork, resilience, and unity through the power of sport.
