As part of its ongoing commitment to community welfare and environmental sustainability, Tanny Shelters, through its CSR arm Seyon Charitable Trust, extended financial support on 7th October 2025 to the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Coimbatore, to strengthen solid waste management initiatives across rural panchayats in the district.
At a formal handover event, Sivaraman Kandasamy, Managing Director of Tanny Shelters, presented a cheque for ₹3.9 lakhs to Sanket Balwant Waghe, Additional Collector (Development) and Project Director, DRDA Coimbatore.
The contribution was made under the E-Cart Procurement Initiative for Panchayat Solid Waste Management.
The funding from the Trust will support the purchase of five E-Carts for waste collection and disposal in Kinathukadavu and SS Kulam blocks of Coimbatore District. The remaining cost of the project will be covered by the Government under the Solid Waste Management scheme implemented through DRDA.
Speaking on the occasion, Sivaraman Kandasamy remarked, “We believe that sustainability begins at the grassroots. By supporting the Panchayats in their waste management initiatives, we aim to help build cleaner, healthier, and more resilient communities. We thank the District Administration for providing this meaningful platform for public-private collaboration.”
Sanket Balwant Waghe appreciated the CSR initiative and encouraged more corporate partners to collaborate with the Government to promote effective waste management solutions and green infrastructure in rural areas.
CSR contributions are welcome under this scheme to strengthen waste management systems across all blocks of Coimbatore District.
