Kalika Peetham Juna Akhada Mahamandaleshwar Swami Anandavanam Bharati recently visited the Mata Amritanandamayi Math Brahmasthanam Temple at Nallampalayam, where he blessed devotees and addressed the gathering.
During the visit, Swami Anandavanam Bharati formally announced the revival of the historic Makha Mahotsavam at the Trimurthi Snana Ghatt on the banks of the Bharathapuzha at Thirunavaya Temple in Malappuram.
The centuries-old festival, associated with the Brahma Deva Yaga tradition, will be held from January 17 until Makha Pournami. It will feature daily ritual baths with sannyasis, special pujas, and spiritual discourses.
In his address, he emphasized the importance of inner positivity, stating that positive thoughts and words naturally reflect in one’s actions and can inspire those around us toward right conduct.
Swami Anandavanam Bharati Maharaj noted that the revival of Makha Mahotsavam represents an important step in rejuvenating a significant cultural and spiritual tradition that had remained dormant for many decades. He invited devotees and the wider community to participate in the upcoming celebrations.
