Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute, a unit of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, has recently entered into a strategic partnership with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC).
The collaboration was sealed through the signing and exchange of a Letter of Engagement (LoE) by R. Sundar, Managing Trustee of the Trust, along with Prasad, Director of the institute, in the presence of Udhayanidhi Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The signing ceremony formed a major highlight of the state-level event conducted at Valluvar Kottam Auditorium, Chennai, where medals and certificates were awarded to the winners of the TN Skill State Level Competition 2025.
The ceremony witnessed the participation of senior government officials, including Kranthi Kumar Pati, Managing Director of TNSDC, who emphasised Tamil Nadu’s vision of transforming itself into a global hub for skilled manpower through structured training, industry partnerships, and international benchmarking.
Through this collaboration, Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute has been recognised as an authorised Training Partner under the “TN Skills 2025” framework.
The engagement focuses on delivering advanced training in the specialised trade of Plumbing and Heating, aligning the curriculum with the standards prescribed under the India Skills and World Skills platforms.
This strategic alignment ensures that trainees are equipped not only for domestic employment but also for global competitive opportunities.
Representing SNR Sons Charitable Trust and Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Sundar highlighted that the initiative is designed to go beyond conventional classroom instruction. He noted that the institute will provide trainees with access to state-of-the-art machinery, modern tools, and industry-simulated infrastructure that closely mirrors real-world working environments.
This experiential learning model is aimed at bridging the gap between academic training and the practical requirements of the construction and service sectors, both in India and abroad.
Under the agreement, the institute will deploy qualified domain experts and technically proficient trainers to provide hands-on mentorship, technical instruction, and continuous knowledge-sharing support.
A notable feature of the partnership is its emphasis on placement and internship support. As part of this commitment, Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute will offer direct internship opportunities and career pathways to the state-level winners of the TN Skill State Level Competition 2025.
The Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation will play a role in identifying and nominating eligible candidates, monitoring training quality, and ensuring compliance with TN Skills guidelines.
By providing formal certification and institutional recognition, TNSDC will help create a training ecosystem that aligns with government policy and industry needs.
This collaboration between a charitable trust and a government agency is expected to serve as a model for public-private partnerships in the education and skill development sector.
The TN Skill State Level Competition, conducted under the aegis of the Naan Mudhalvan initiative, continues to serve as a platform for identifying, nurturing, and showcasing vocational talent across a wide spectrum of trades, from traditional skills to emerging technologies.
Winners of the state-level competition often go on to represent Tamil Nadu at national and international forums, including India Skills and World Skills competitions.
In addition to the formal proceedings, a separate stall space was allocated by the government at the venue, where faculty members of Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute showcased their technical expertise through a live demonstration of Plumbing and Heating systems.
Addressing the gathering, Udhayanidhi Stalin reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering Tamil Nadu’s youth through skill-driven initiatives.
He emphasised that programmes such as Naan Mudhalvan are designed to equip students and young professionals with industry-relevant competencies, enabling them to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global workforce.

The event concluded with a walkthrough of the proposed training modules and methodologies, offering dignitaries and stakeholders an overview of the instructional systems to be implemented at the Coimbatore-based campus of Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute.
