Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science (SNMV CAS) celebrated its Annual Sports Day on Friday.
The Chief Guest, Selvaraghavan, Inspector of Police, Chettipalayam Police Station, Coimbatore, hoisted the national flag and lit the Olympic torch. The event was followed by an oath-taking ceremony and a march past by the students.
Bharat Kumar Jagamani, Joint Secretary of the college, delivered the presidential address, appreciating the efforts taken by the students. He highlighted that the students of SNMV would excel in sports at the national level.
The Chief Guest stressed the importance of sportsmanship among today’s youth to help them reach greater heights despite failures and defeats.
Sadeesh Kumar, Physical Director, SNMV CAS, presented the Annual Report for 2025–2026, highlighting the activities of the Physical Education Department of the college.
The winners of various competitions, including table tennis, running race, carrom and chess, were honoured with prizes and certificates by the dignitaries.The overall rolling trophy was bagged by the Red House.
Earlier, Muthukumar, Director, SNMV Institute of Management (SNMV IM), delivered the welcome address, and concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Jothiramalingam, Head, Corporate Relations.
