Coimbatore-based internet service provider Skylink Fibernet announced the launch of SkyPlay, its very own IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) and Fort Knox Data Centers, recently, while celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The launch was made by R. Nandini, Chairperson, GRG Group of Educational Institutions and Managing Director of Chandra Group of Institutions, Coimbatore along with K. Srinivasan, Managing Director, Emerald Jewel Industry, Coimbatore and D. Srinivasan, MD, Sree Annapoorna Group in the presence of K. Senthil Kumar, Managing Director, Skylink Fibernet.

SkyPlay is an IPTV service of Skylink that provides customers the option to watch 950+ TV channels, 32+ OTTs including Netflix, Disney+Hotstar, Amazon and other leading OTTs, and high-speed internet service.

While addressing the gathering, Senthil Kumar said that this IPTV will give high quality TV viewing experience with zero swapping time delay. Fort Knox on the other hand is a scalable data center that can benefit SMEs and corporates. It has the provisions to scale up to the requirements of large companies.

Speaking at the event, Nandini, the Chief Guest said that the entertainment sector has evolved significantly today, and people today want a wide range of entertainment options with quality and convenience. She expressed hopes that Skyplay will enhance the way users engage with content.

Rajeshwaran, Director, Skylink Fibernet said that this broadband-based IPTV and OTT service from Skylink is launched across Tamil Nadu, and they’ve also targetted to go PAN India shortly.

The plan starts at Rs.199 and goes upto Rs.1999. Existing Skylink customers can migrate to Skyplay Plan or have it as an add-on service.

To make this new IPTV plan reach the masses, the company is taking steps to reach the Cable Operators in Tamil Nadu. From tomorrow (14.2.25), the service could be availed.

It is noteworthy to mention that Skylink has 1 lakh regular subscribers and 4500 companies using its high-speed internet service as of now.
