The Civil Engineering Department of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology organized a two-day seminar on “Application of Traditional Health Care systems in daily life” recently.
The program was sponsored by AICTE- Vibrant Advocacy for Advancement and Nurturing of Indian Languages (VAANI).
Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee, Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology presided over the seminar and she briefed on the importance of the seminar and the need of the hour.
Porkumaran, Principal, delivered the special address and appreciated the co-ordinators of the Seminar. Maruthachalam, Dean, Civil Engineering felicitated the program.

The first session started with Thangamani, Acu Healer, Cumbum Academy of Acupuncture, Coimbatore and Nargis Banu, Director, AURA Acupuncture Academy, Salem highlighting the importance of natural and safe ways to attain good health without using medicines.
Vetrivendan, Siddha Doctor, Ministry of Health AYUSH Department, Government of Tamil Nadu and Raghuraman, S S Physiotherapy Clinic, Karaikudi spoke about the use of Sidha and physiotherapy in maintaining our physical health ending the first day.
Ponnusamy, Retired Principal, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science; Senthilkumar, Vice President, Kovai Manavalakalai Mantram Trust, Coimbatore and Revathi, World Community Service Center, Aliyar emphasized the use of Yoga for a holistic life.
The concluding session was handled by Vethasubbia, Senior professor, World Community Service Center who related the Asanas and Mudhras.
The sessions provided valid insights into using our ancient healthcare systems to improve and maintain our lives.
