The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Phoenix recently installed its first-ever Rotaract Club at Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, marking a significant milestone in fostering youth leadership and community service in the region.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Rtn. MD RS Maruti, District Governor Nominee, Dist. 3206; Rtn. Godwin, District Chairman, Youth Services; Rtn. Fredrick, District Rotaract Committee Chair; Rtn. Murugan, President, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Phoenix; Anitha, Principal of the College and Rtr. PHF Thangapandian, District Rotaract Representative.
Kamatchi Muthulakshmi, Student Coordinator; Rtn. Sundararajan, Treasurer, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Phoenix; Rtn. Parthiban, Secretary-Elect of the Rotary Club; and Rtr. Nandhini Raja, Group Rotaract Representative was also present.
In his keynote address, Chief Guest Rtn. MD RS Maruti emphasized the importance of upholding Rotary values and being part of the world’s largest service organization. The Rotaract Club aims to provide a platform for young minds to develop leadership skills, promote community service, and foster fellowship.
Guest of Honour Rtn. Godwin highlighted the significance of ethics in Rotary and the role of Rotaract in self-development and career growth. This initiative underscores the Rotary Club’s commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.
Rtn. Murugan, shared his personal experience in Rotary and stressed the value of being a Rotary member.
Notably, the Rotaract Club was inducted on the same day, four years after the induction of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Phoenix on February 17, 2021. Rtn. Murugan congratulated the charter members of the new Rotaract Club.
The newly installed Rotaract Club members pledged to uphold the values of Rotary International and make a positive impact in their community.
