The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Windcity hosted the official visit of Rotary District 3201’s Governor, recently.
Rtn. AKS Sundaravadivelu, the Rotary District Governor, visited the club. Rtn. MD Devadas Menon, Assistant Governor and Rtn. MPHF Elango, GGR felicitated the governor in the presence of Rtn. Sivakumar, President; Rtn. Sundararaj, Secretary; Rtn. Shanmugam and Rtn. Kanagaraj, Past Presidents.
The event began with a visit to Manthiragiriyar Sencheri Malai Shree Murugan Temple.
Notable announcements included in the event were providing a scholarship for a financially disadvantaged student, alongside a washing machine donation to the Primary Health Centre at Puliampatti, and two grease gun machines to 2 workshops.
The commendation was extended to teachers and trainers from the Valli Kummi cultural heritage group. Devadas Menon emphasized member unity and the club’s impactful projects.
Rtn. Sundaravadivelu in his address outlined six prime projects under the district’s Blossom Priorities, which encompass significant initiatives such as the construction of 100 houses for the TODA community, the restoration of River Koushika, protections for Type 1 diabetic children, as well as enhanced awareness regarding skin and eye donation, and cybercrime protection. Rtn. Sivakumar contributed $1000 to the Rotary Foundation.
