The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Centennial conducted its 20th Installation Ceremony for the year 2025–26 at Hotel Grand Regent on 23rd July 2025.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Palanivelu, Chairman of GEM Hospital, and Guest of Honour  Anbarasan, Chairman of Nallaram Trust.

Rtn. Govindharajan was installed as President, Rtn. Rakesh assumed charge as Secretary, and the new team of office bearers also took charge.

The event was attended by Rtn. Sambathkumar, District Director; Rtn. Senthilkumar, Assistant Governor; Rtn. Easwaran, Governor Group Representative; Rtn. K.C. Srinivasan, Immediate Past President; and Rtn. Raghavendiran, Immediate Past Secretary.

Earlier, Rtn. K.C. Srinivasan delivered the welcome address. In his speech, he highlighted the projects and activities undertaken during the year 2024–2025, including the club’s signature project Uyire, a fundraising initiative in association with GKNM Hospital for paediatric cancer patients.

During the event, a cheque for ₹1 lakh was presented to GKNM Hospital as the first instalment towards paediatric cancer treatment. The cheque was received by Dr. Ajeitha, Pediatric Hemato-Oncologist. Additionally, educational assistance was extended to deserving students.

In his acceptance speech, Rtn. Govindarajan outlined the proposed activities for the 2025–2026 year. He also appreciated the contributions made by the previous team and congratulated the incoming team.

In his address, the chief guest praised the service activities of Rotary clubs and their contribution to society. He also shared valuable health tips with the audience.

In the Guest of Honour speech, Anbarasan commended the Rotary Club for its commendable initiatives and felicitated the incoming team.

The immediate past secretary presented the secretary’s report for the previous year, highlighting the club’s major accomplishments.

The incoming secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
