In the past 100 years, RmKV, an Indian textile manufacturer and wedding silk retailer, has successfully launched 110 special silk sarees.
In its 101st year, the brand marks this milestone by launching a new collection of 15 silk sarees for the upcoming festive season.
The launch event was held today, 20th September 2025, at Maheshwari Bhavan, located on Thadagam Main Road, Somayampalayam, Coimbatore.
The event was presided over by Mahesh and Shankar Kumaraswamy, the Directors of RmKV.
The newly launched sarees are uniquely designed, drawing inspiration from Japanese art and Indian heritage.
The collection includes 15 uniquely designed sarees, titled: Sashiko Reversible, Korvai Japan, Mount Fuji, Natural Peach Gradient, Mocha Mousse, Van Gogh Lino, Rasaleela Silk Saree, Dubla Lino Varna, Natural Chrysanthemum, Muppagam Natural, Gradient Varna, Kottadi Kattam, Corner Mango, Kuyil Kann Korvai, and Kumo Korvai.
One of the salient features of RmKV Silks over the past 100+ years has been its consistent launch of exquisite silk sarees tailored for its customers. These sarees have been conceptualised at the RmKV Design Studio and expertly woven by RmKV’s master weavers using innovative techniques and methods.
These innovations range from the use of natural ingredients for colour creation to modifications in weaving techniques, aimed at making the silk fabric lighter and more breathable, enhancing both comfort and elegance.
