RIAM Sports – a premium sports academy in Coimbatore, launched its new sports facility at Thudiyalur on 11th January 2026. This is its second establishment after the one at Saibaba colony.
A. Raja, Member of Parliament – The Nilgiris constituency, inaugurated the facility in the presence of Swathi Agarwal, Managing Director and Tretham Agarwal, Co-Founder, RIAM Sports, along with other esteemed guests that included Mohandoss, Trustee, SSVM Institutions.
The facility includes a US Open–sized pickleball court, one of the largest in Tamil Nadu, and it will soon have a FIFA-approved football turf, FIBA-standard basketball flooring, and advanced cricket training infrastructure with astro and concrete wickets supported by a precision stitch ball machine.
These are built on 2.5-acre land. This is a sports training academy and will also function as courts/turfs for rental, as well.
The academy is guided by a coaching panel comprising national-level champions across their respective sports, ensuring high-quality mentorship and professional training standards.
Further expansion plans are underway as the institution continues to scale its impact across Coimbatore and beyond.
Speaking after the inauguration, Raja appreciated the efforts of RIAM Sports to enhance the sports infrastructure of Coimbatore and facilitate a world-class training facility for athletes from this region.
He wished them to grow well in Tamil Nadu and also scale up across India and beyond.
Swathi Agarwal shared that this won’t be just another sports club but a professional sporting revolution. The centre is now ready for Pickleball, and this state-of-the-art court could be rented day or night as per players’ requirements.
It is Rs.800 per hour during the daytime and Rs.1000 per hour at night. A team of 4 can play. The facility has parking space for 200 cars. The area is covered by a CCTV camera system.
Tretham Agarwal shared that in phase 2 of the project, they will launch the courts for Basketball, Football and the facility for Chess, Snookers and Skating as well. All these are in the final stages and will be ready by the end of February.
