The annual mega running event that professional runners, running enthusiasts, casual joggers, walkers, and the people of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and South India eagerly look forward to, the Coimbatore Marathon, is all set to take place on Sunday, December 21, 2025. Organised by the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation (CCF), the 13th edition of the Coimbatore Marathon will be supported by Walkaroo as its title partner and powered by ELGi Equipments. Last year, 21,048 participants took part in the event, and this year, the number is expected to cross 23,000.
Registrations were officially launched by Pavankumar Giriyappanavar, Coimbatore District Collector; Saravana Sundar, Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City; and Sivaguru Prabakaran, Commissioner, Coimbatore Corporation. All three dignitaries have also signed up to participate in the marathon.
In partnership with Coimbatore Runners, the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation is committed to organising an outstanding marathon experience while furthering its mission. Since the marathon began in 2013, it has raised over ₹6.14 crores to support cancer survivors and their families, as well as to promote cancer awareness among the public.
The event welcomes people from all backgrounds to participate in support of a noble cause. Early registration is encouraged, as slots are limited for this popular annual event. Participants are invited to join hands with the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation and the Coimbatore Runners to make a difference and take a step toward building a healthier community.
The registration fee is ₹1,300 for the Half Marathon (21.1 km), ₹1,100 for the 10 km run, ₹850 for the 5 km timed run, and ₹640 for the 5 km walk.
