Rotary Club of Coimbatore (RCC) New Town honoured the Sanitary Workers of ward 91 at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science on 1st August 2024.
Rtn. CT Ramasamy, Assistant Governor presented the Shield and Cash Prize to the Sanitary Workers in the presence of Rtn. P Durai Murugan, President; Rtn. S Thirunavukkarasu, Secretary; Rtn. Dr. SN Deepana, GGR along with the RCC New Town Members.
The Sanitary Workers were honoured for recovering 6 sovereign gold chain from 700- Kg of Garbage after a resident from Kovaipudur lost her gold chain at home. Later, they informed Udhayakumar, Councillor, 98th Ward.
The Councillor informed Manikandan, the Sanitary Supervisor and a team of five Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) members including Rani, Sathya, Manjula, Savithiri and Santhosh. The team and supervisor were felicitated at the CCMC Monthly Council Meeting.
While speaking at the Rotary felicitation, Manikandan insisted public to handover the waste by segregating it into wet and dry waste.
