As part of the nationwide Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, the 105 Battalion of the Rapid Action Force (RAF), Coimbatore, organised a series of spirited events under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to spread the message of unity, patriotism, and pride in the National Flag.

The celebrations commenced with a Bike Rally and Cycle Rally, symbolising the journey of freedom and the collective resolve to uphold national values. RAF personnel, community members, and youth pedalled and rode through the city streets, proudly displaying the Tricolour.

A Community Walk with families and the general public fostered a sense of togetherness, while a special flag-hoisting event at Ukkadam Lake (Amrit Sarovar) highlighted the importance of preserving heritage sites along with patriotic pride.

To engage the younger generation, the battalion also conducted special activities with school students, child care centres, and participated in Independence Day programs at educational institutions—instilling values of respect for the national flag and love for the country.

The Independence Day Celebration at Velammal School brought together officers, personnel, students, and their families to salute the Tricolour, honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and renew their pledge toward national service.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant of the 105 RAF Battalion emphasised, Har Ghar Tiranga is not just a campaign—it is a reminder of our shared heritage, sacrifices, and the unity that binds us as Indians.”

The events reflected the RAF’s ongoing commitment to community outreach, national integration, and the spirit of service beyond duty.
