The Centre of Excellence for Commerce Professionals and the Department of Commerce of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, in association with various professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), organised the Conclave of Professionals on 12 January 2026.
The conclave served as a platform for eminent professional experts and alumni professionals to share their expertise with commerce students, enabling them to synthesise academic concepts with the contemporary professional scenario.
The event witnessed the participation of around 3,000 students from commerce streams, 200 professionally qualified alumni, and 350 students pursuing professional courses.
Yesodha Devi, Secretary of the college, welcomed the gathering. Arun Bharat, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Coimbatore, delivered the keynote address and presided over the function.
The felicitation addresses were delivered by CA Rajesh, Regional Council Member, Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of ICAI; CA Sathish, Chairman, ICAI – Coimbatore Branch; CS Sakunthala, Chairperson, ICSI Coimbatore Chapter; CMA Maheswaran, Chairman, ICMAI Coimbatore Chapter; and CA Narayanan Nambiar, Founder, Global FTI (Platinum ALP–ACCA), Bengaluru, Karnataka.
A total of 95 alumni professionals who have successfully completed prestigious professional courses such as CA, CS, CMA, ACCA, CPA, and CFA were honoured for their accomplishments.
An interactive session titled “Professional Colloquium” was also held, facilitating knowledge sharing between alumni professionals and students. Harathi, Principal of the college, proposed the vote of thanks.
