As the first event of the centenary celebrations of PSG & Sons’ Charities, “Kadambari-2026”, a four-day grand music festival, will be held from January 2 to 5, 2026, at the PSG IMS&R Auditorium.

The programmes will be held from 5.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on all four days. Entry is free with prior registration.

The festival aims to celebrate India’s rich classical and light music traditions while showcasing the talents of students, eminent musicians and acclaimed performers.

The details were announced on December 27, 2025, at a press meet held at PSG IMS&R.

Highlight of this year

A major highlight this year is the introduction of the Kadambari Awards. For the first time since the inception of Kadambari in 2016, the awards will be conferred on Coimbatore college students for outstanding performances in music, dance and instrumental arts.

The award winners will be announced on the second day of the event, and the awards will be presented on the third and fourth day of the festival by the respective chief guests. Another highlight is the Kadambari Carnival, with stalls being set up during the event.

Day 1

The festival will commence on Friday, January 2, 2026, with “Dharma Swarangal”, a light music presentation by students of PSG Institutions, followed by the Kalai Sudar Award ceremony honouring outstanding student performers.

Gurdip Singh Anand, singer of Tamil devotional songs and classical Tamil film songs, will be the chief guest on the first day.

Day 2

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, the programme will feature “Dasavathara Dharmam”, a classical dance presentation by students of PSG Institutions, followed by the Yuva Kalaarathna Award ceremony.

The award will be conferred on renowned artists Aishwarya and Saundarya, great-granddaughters of Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi. Aparna Sridhar, Chief Editor and Conversations, Indica, will be the chief guest and will present the award.

The day will also feature the “Madhura Sangeeth” classical music concert by Aishwarya and Saundarya.

Day 3

The programme on Sunday, January 4, 2026, will include “Dharma Marga”, a Carnatic music presentation by the Department of Carnatic Music, PSG College of Arts and Science, followed by a special Carnatic concert by Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee Sudha Raghunathan.

Day 4

The festival will conclude on Monday, January 5, 2026, with “Ullam Uruguthaiya”, a Carnatic music programme by PSG School students, followed by “Dharmam Thalaikkakkum”, a light classical performance by popular singer Sathya Prakash.

Through Kadambari-2026, PSG & Sons’ Charities continues its legacy of nurturing culture, education and the arts while commemorating 100 years of dedicated service to society.
