The Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering at PSG College of Technology inaugurated the two-day global conference titled “Hydrogen and Renewable Energy for Sustainable Transport and Industrial Applications (H2RESA 2026)” today by releasing the conference proceedings.

The conference will conclude tomorrow.

The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ranjith Krishna Pai, Scientist F and Senior Director at the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Jayan, Project Director at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and National Secretary, Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE), was the Guest of Eminence.

Rudramoorthy, Director of PSG CARE, presented the conference overview.

Prakasan, Principal of the college, presided over the event and delivered the presidential address.

Distinguished international experts, including Ganesan Subbaraman from GTI Energy, USA; Anand Sankaran, former Director at Ford Motor Company, USA; and Palanichamy Manikandan from Østfold University College, Norway, joined the dignitaries in releasing the conference proceedings.

Earlier, Kannan, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, delivered the welcome address, while Karthikeyan, Professor, Department of Automobile Engineering, proposed the vote of thanks.

The conference witnesses over 200 participants from industry, academia, and research organisations. It features keynote lectures, technical sessions, and industry discussions on hydrogen production, energy storage, renewable integration, and infrastructure development.

The two-day conference aims to foster global collaboration and contribute to India’s clean energy transition, while reinforcing Coimbatore’s role as a key hub for sustainable industrial innovation.
