The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech), successfully organised a Pre-Conference Workshop on “Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in Manufacturing Automation” on October 8, 2025, as part of IEEE-sponsored ITECH SECOM 2025.
The workshop brought together 25 participants from both industry and academia, including professionals from leading organisations such as Roots Industries India, Dataviss Analytics, DMW CNC Center, AUSWEG Info Controls, and Chennai Automation Systems, among others.
Resource persons from FANUC INDIA and Grow i Tech delivered insightful sessions on real-world industrial applications of IIoT, focusing on Condition Monitoring Systems, Production Monitoring Systems, and Quality Management Systems.
The sessions featured interactive demonstrations and hands-on exposure to smart manufacturing tools and technologies.
The program concluded with a visit to the FANUC Technology Centre, where participants witnessed cutting-edge automation and robotics systems in operation, gaining valuable insights into industrial implementation of IIoT.
The event served as a vibrant platform bridging industry expertise with academic innovation, empowering participants to explore intelligent manufacturing solutions and the future of connected automation.
