PSG Institutions and the Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF), Coimbatore Chapter, jointly conducted a job fair at PSG College of Technology on Saturday.

The event witnessed participation from 27 leading industries and more than 400 students representing various colleges, making it a significant platform for career opportunities and industry–institute interaction.

Nithyanandhan Devaraaj, President of the Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) and Past National Secretary of IIF, was the chief guest.

In his address, he inspired students with valuable insights on professionalism, industry readiness, leadership qualities, and the importance of adaptability in today’s competitive environment. The address motivated the participants to strive for excellence and make meaningful contributions to the manufacturing sector.

During the inauguration, Sivaprakash, Vice Chairman, IIF, Coimbatore Chapter, delivered the welcome address. In his address, he highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry to enhance employability and skill development among students.

Nadarajan, Dean – Placement and Training, PSG Institutions, delivered the presidential address. He emphasized the growing scope in the manufacturing and foundry sectors and encouraged students to focus on practical knowledge, technical competence, and continuous learning to meet industry expectations.

Arasu, HoD – Diploma in Foundry Technology at PSG Polytechnic College and the Technical Committee of the chapter, presented an overview about the Job Fair 2026.

He elaborated on the objectives of the fair, the efforts taken by the IIF Coimbatore Chapter in organizing the event, and the opportunities created for students to directly interact with industry professionals and recruiters.

Prabhu Dharmarajan, Honorary Secretary, IIF, Coimbatore Chapter, proposed the vote of thanks.

The Job Fair – 2026 stood as a testament to IIF Coimbatore Chapter’s commitment to fostering industry–academia collaboration and supporting the career aspirations of young professionals in the foundry and manufacturing sectors.
