In a significant milestone for the region, Disha – A Life School, in collaboration with Career Zone Academy, recently hosted Pollachi’s first large-scale multi-university Career and Admissions Conclave.
The event brought together over 400 students and parents, along with representatives from 22 universities and institutions across India. It aimed to provide school students with direct access to credible information on higher education pathways, emerging careers, and admission processes.
The conclave was inaugurated by Uma Ramanan, Principal of Disha – A Life School, who highlighted the importance of early career awareness and informed decision-making. This was followed by an address by Nagalakshmi, Vice President of Career Zone Academy, who noted that the fair was the first of its scale in Pollachi, enabling students to meet top institutions without travelling outside the district.
Representatives from universities including Chanakya University, Sunstone School of Technology, DJ Academy of Design, Amity University, Dayananda Sagar University, Rathinam Institutions, GITAM University, PSG Institute of Advanced Studies, Woxsen University, Alliance University, FLAME University, and others interacted with students throughout the day.
Students from Grades 9 to 12 explored a wide range of career options across science, technology, design, humanities, business, and health sciences. University delegates provided details on programmes, admissions, scholarships, placements, and career outcomes, helping students gain clarity and confidence in planning their academic futures.

Both parents and students appreciated the accessibility and usefulness of the event, while participating institutions praised the organisation and student engagement. Several universities expressed interest in conducting future workshops and counselling sessions in collaboration with the school.
The conclave marked a new benchmark for career-awareness initiatives in Pollachi, offering students a comprehensive platform for exploration and informed career planning.
