The Department of Quality at KG Hospital, along with KGiSL and the International Association for Healthcare Data Analytics-Ragava International Statistical Institute (IADHA-RISI), jointly organised a patient safety conference titled Datacon 2025 at the IIM Auditorium, KGiSL campus, Saravanampatti, on 24th August 2025.

The conference was held under the theme, “Patient Safety Incident Reporting: Right Data, Right Visualization, Right Analysis, Right Action.”

Padma Shri Dr. Bakthavathsalam, Chairman of KG Hospital, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Ashok Bakthavathsalam, Managing Director of KGiSL Group of Companies, as the Guest of Honour.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Bakthavatsalam, delivered a keynote address emphasising the importance of patient-centred care and data management.

Guest of Honour, Ashok Bakthavatsalam, spoke on the role of data-driven decision-making in healthcare and modern medical systems.

The event was also graced by Dr. Thennarasu, Founder of IADHA-RISI, and Dr. Jayachandran, President of the International Association, who highlighted the importance of collaboration among doctors, researchers, and technologists to strengthen the culture of patient safety.

At the event, 35 members were awarded the prestigious CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) certification, recognising their expertise in healthcare quality.

And, 13 expert speakers delivered impactful talks on topics such as patient safety culture, incident management, and the use of data in healthcare.

The event witnessed active participation with 250 delegates attending in person and 100 joining online, reflecting the growing relevance of patient safety and data analytics in transforming healthcare.
