Rao Hospital, in association with Rotary Aakruthi as part of their Community Service – Medical Project, conducted a Free Child Health Screening Camp today (31st July 2025) at the Kallimadai Corporation School, Ramanathapuram.

The camp was headed by Dr. Asha Rao, Medical Director and Chief Consultant – Fertility and Obstetrics at the Hospital, and District Chair for Rotary’s Maternal Health and Child Care Project, the initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare access to underserved school children.

The camp was held under the banner of the ongoing community project of Rotary “She N Smile,” which supports students from Corporation schools with medical care and well-being services.

Dr. Krishnasamy, Neonatologist and Paediatrician at the Hospital, led the health screenings, offering expert evaluation and care for the attending children.

“Our vision is to extend preventive and primary healthcare to children who may not have regular access to medical support,” said Dr. Asha Rao. “We believe good health is the foundation for better learning and brighter futures.”

The initiative was supported by Rtn. Madhu Kannan, the Club President, Rtn. Vidhya Lakshmanan, Secretary and Rtn. Latha Prabhu & Rtn. Beena, project sponsors with dedicated volunteer support from Rtn. Hema Purushotaman and others.
