PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, along with Nature Science Foundation, Coimbatore, hosted a one-day workshop on “Educational Organizations Management System (ISO 21001:2018) for Academic Excellence: A Strategic Meet for NIRF, IQAC and NAAC Coordinators” at the college on 9 December 2025.
The main objective of the programme was to enhance the understanding and implementation of ISO 21001:2018 standards among educational institutions to strengthen academic excellence.
Nagaraja, Former Vice-Chancellor of Graphic Era University, Dehradun, and Executive Director of Nehru Group of Institutions, Coimbatore, was the Chief Guest.
Sivakumar, Librarian of the college, welcomed the gathering, while Senguttuvan, Principal in-charge of the college, presided over the event, emphasizing the importance of EOMS for the institution.
The inaugural address was delivered by Kannaian, Secretary of the college, who highlighted the need for adopting ISO 21001:2018 to strengthen institutional quality and academic excellence.

In his Chief Guest address, Nagaraja stressed the importance of structured quality systems such as ISO 21001:2018 to promote continuous improvement in educational institutions.
Six colleges from Tamil Nadu and Kerala were formally awarded the EOMS Certificate during the event, symbolising their successful compliance with ISO 21001:2018 standards.
Rajalakshmi, Chairperson of Nature Science Foundation, proposed the vote of thanks.
Following the inauguration, technical sessions and a panel discussion were conducted. A total of 200 participants, including Lead Auditors, Technical Experts, Heads of Institutions, and NIRF/IQAC/NAAC coordinators from across India, took part in the programme.
