The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Dr. NGP Institute of Technology (NGP iTech), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Garuda Aerospace Limited, Chennai, recently with the objective of strengthening industry–academia collaboration in the field of aerospace and drone technologies.
The MoU aims to provide students with valuable opportunities for industry exposure through internships, hands-on training, technical interactions, and experiential learning.
The collaboration is intended to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices by enabling students to gain practical insights into emerging technologies, real-world applications, and evolving industry requirements.
The association will also facilitate faculty–industry interaction and provide opportunities for faculty members to gain exposure to current industrial practices and technological developments.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen students’ technical competencies, innovation capabilities, problem-solving skills, and overall professional readiness.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Kannan, Head, Centre of Excellence; Gowtham, R&D Team, Garuda Aerospace Limited, Chennai, along with Buvaneswaran, Chief Executive Officer, NGP iTech; Prabha, Principal; Chandrasekaran, Head of the Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering; and Professors Biji Rose and Padmavathy.
