The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Dr. NGP Institute of Technology recently inaugurated a QNX Centre of Excellence in association with PI-SQUARE Technologies India, marking a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration.

QNX, a globally trusted real-time operating system widely used in safety-critical and mission-critical applications such as automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial systems, is expected to provide students and faculty with practical exposure to real-world engineering environments.

The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing hands-on training in industry-standard tools, platforms, and engineering workflows that align with global practices.

 

The Centre was inaugurated by Rajkumar Jain, Vice President – Engineering, QNX, and Srinivas Raju, Chief Executive Officer, PI-SQUARE Technologies India, in the presence of Prabha, Principal, Dasharatha, Program Director, QNX Everywhere, along with academic deans, department heads, faculty members, and students of the institution.

The initiative is expected to enhance skill development, promote applied research, and improve industry readiness among engineering graduates.

The establishment of the Centre was coordinated by Chandrasekharan, Head of the Department, along with Padmavathy and Sevugan Rajesh, Assistant Professors.
