The Department of Hospital Administration of NGP Arts and Science College recently organized an Indian Council of Social Science Research, Southern Regional Centre (ICSSR-SRC) Hyderabad-sponsored National Seminar on “Navigating the Future: Ageing and Social Security in the 21st Century.”
The session was arranged to explore the social security measures for the ageing population under the theme” Vision Viksit Bharat”.
Uma, Head of the Department of Hospital Administration, welcomed the gathering. Saravanan, Principal extended his felicitations to the gathering and extended his speech on Ageing and Social Security in the 21st Century.
This seminar was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Kanagasabapathi, Former Chairman, ICSSR, New Delhi, who delivered a speech on the Economic Impact of the ageing population in India.
He emphasized the importance of conducting research and studies focused on our local communities rather than other regions. “He also discussed on “Vision Viksit Bharat” scheme, which stands for “Developed India.”
Kanagasabapathi, the Chief Guest, was greeted by Kalimuthu, Dean, Research and Development with a memento. Participants from various institutions presented their research papers on the assigned themes and thoughtfully responded to the judges’ questions.
Banudevi, Dean of Commerce and Management, distributed the Best Paper Award to the outstanding papers. After the National Seminar, all presenters and participants were awarded certificates as recognition.
Overall, the National Seminar was a resounding success, allowing for the vibrant transfer and exchange of knowledge noted by the department.
The National Seminar drew over 25 presenters and 200 attendees from all over India to discuss ideas on managing the future of ageing and social security in the 21st century.
