The Department of Commerce of Dr. NGP Arts and Science College organised a one-day National Level seminar titled “Catalyzing Inclusive Growth through Innovation: Strengthening the Startup Ecosystem for AI-Driven and Sustainable Development,” today.
It was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research – Southern Regional Centre (ICSSR-SRC)
The objective of the seminar is to promote innovation-led entrepreneurship and exploring strategies to build a resilient and inclusive startup ecosystem powered by Artificial Intelligence and sustainable practices.
The programme commenced with a formal inaugural session, where Head of the Department delivered the welcome address.
In the inaugural address, the dignitaries emphasized the growing importance of AI-driven technologies in transforming business models, enhancing productivity, and creating inclusive economic opportunities.
They highlighted that sustainable development and technological innovation must go hand in hand to ensure balanced growth across sectors.
The seminar brought together academicians, researchers, industry experts, startup founders, and students from various institutions across the country.
The keynote speaker elaborated on the emerging trends in AI, digital transformation, green entrepreneurship, and government initiatives supporting startups in India.
Special focus was given to the role of policy frameworks, funding mechanisms, incubation centers, and collaborative networks in strengthening the startup ecosystem.
Technical sessions covered diverse themes such as: AI applications in business and commerce, Sustainable and green startups, Social entrepreneurship for inclusive growth, Digital finance and fintech innovations, Challenges and opportunities in scaling startups
Paper presentation sessions provided a platform for scholars and students to present their research findings related to innovation management, sustainable business practices, and AI- enabled entrepreneurial models.
Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions enabled a exchange of ideas among participants.
The seminar concluded with a valedictory session, where selected research papers were appreciated, and participation certificates were distributed.
