The Department of Microbiology at SNMV College of Arts and Science inaugurated its association, ‘Glazanda,’ with a guest lecture titled “Food Quality, Safety, Traceability, and Authentication” on 20th August 2025.
Vidyalakshmi, Professor and Quality Manager at the Food Testing Laboratory (NIFTEM-T), Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, served as the chief guest.
She delivered an insightful lecture on the topic, highlighting key aspects of food quality, safety, traceability, and authentication.
Bhakyaraj, Head of the Department of Microbiology, welcomed the gathering. This was followed by the presidential address by Principal Subramani. Muthukumar, Director of SNMV Institute of Management, felicitated the guest and addressed the audience.
