The Human Resources Club BRAIN O BRAIN of KV Institute of Management (KVIM), organized an internal learning session on Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) for MBA students of the 2024 and 2025 batches on 9th September 2025.

It aimed at promoting peer learning and enhancing technical competence in HR management tools among students.

The session was spearheaded by II MBA students, who delivered an engaging presentation on the Key Features, Benefits, and Functions of HRIS. The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of how HRIS serves as a crucial tool in streamlining HR processes, improving data management, and enhancing decision-making within organisations.

Following the presentation, the II MBA students facilitated a hands-on training session where the I MBA students were guided on creating an Employee Profile using Excel Sheets. And also, students learnt how to create an employee database through open source software, namely Kredily.

Participants learned to structure databases applicable to Recruitment, Attendance, and Performance Appraisal systems—skills that are essential for HR professionals in modern organisational settings.

The event fostered effective peer mentoring, with senior students sharing knowledge and practical experience to support junior students.

First-year students gained foundational understanding of HRIS applications and its relevance in contemporary HR management. Students were introduced to real-world HR processes, encouraging them to build data-driven and standardized HR systems.
