The Indo-Russian Travel Club (IRTC) in collaboration with the Indo-Russian Cultural Friendship & Society and the Russian House, Chennai organized the Indo-Russian Dance Festival at Hindusthan Educational Institutions, recently.

 The festival has been celebrated for over 22 years in fostering cultural ties and friendship between India and Russia.

The members of the Indo-Russian Cultural Friendship & Society, the Russian House, and the Principals of Hindusthan College of Engineering, Hindusthan Institute of Technology, Hindusthan School of Architecture, and Hindusthan Polytechnic College lighted the lamp.

The highlight of the festival was a 90-minute nonstop extravaganza featuring 20 talented Russian artists. The performers showcased a breathtaking array of dance forms, including Ballet, Folk and Gypsy dances, Acrobatic and Gymnastic acts, and the rhythmic beats of Tap dance.

The Russian dance performance lasted for about 2 hours with 19 different dances.  Principals, faculty and more than 3500 students of Hindusthan Educational Institutions, valley campus participated in this event. It attracted over 3,000 participants from all four colleges of the Hindusthan Valley campus.

Makudeeswaran, Dean and Ananthamurthy coordinated the festival.

The event was more than just entertainment; it symbolized the deep cultural bond between India and Russia. The management of Hindusthan Educational Institutions expressed pride in hosting this unique celebration, emphasizing the importance of art as a bridge that unites people across borders, noted the organisers.
