The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, (ICCIC) recently organized a meeting with delegates from South Korea at The Residency Towers during their visit to Coimbatore.

The objective of the meeting was to deepen bilateral engagement in the domains of culture and commerce.

The session focused on fostering stronger cultural connections between Tamil Nadu and South Korea and exploring new business opportunities across key industrial sectors in Coimbatore.

Jihwan Eun, Director General of KOTRA, delivered the introductory speech, emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic ties and cultural understanding between South Korea and India, particularly in South India’s industrial hubs.

Rajesh B. Lund, President of ICCIC, shared insights into the industrial legacy of Coimbatore and the Chamber’s initiatives in promoting international collaborations. He highlighted the region’s manufacturing strength, entrepreneurial spirit, and openness to global partnerships.

The key themes discussed included: Cultural Exchange, Business & Industrial Relations and the Opportunities Ahead

The delegates included Chang-Nyun Kim, Consul General, Chennai; Jihwan Eun, Director General, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Chennai; Kim Bada, Consular Manager at the Korean Consulate in Chennai; Induja Aravind, Researcher at the Korean Consulate in Chennai; and Vikranth, Guidance Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore.

The attendees from ICCIC included Rajesh B. Lund, President; Natarajan, Vice President; and Pradeep, Hon. Secretary.

The representatives from CODISSIA were Karthikeyan, President; Krishnaraj, Vice President; Shasikumar, Vice President; Yuvaraj, Hon. Secretary; and Srihari, Chairman of Agri Intex 2025.

Other delegates at the meeting were Hema, Secretary General/Secretary of SIMA; Veluswami, Chairman of IIF; Shantakumar, Honorary Consul of Malta; and Suraj Shantakumar, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan.
