Scientists have stated that today’s moon will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual. This phenomenon is called a Supermoon or the Beaver Moon.

A Supermoon happens when the full moon comes closest to the Earth, called perigee.”

In India, it will be visible after 6:30 PM today. The moonrise offers the best view, appearing larger near the horizon.

Skywatchers are advised to observe from open areas for a clear sight. Traditionally, the Beaver Moon marks the start of winter preparations in many cultures. This is one of the brightest and most striking moons of the year.
