The 6th Edition of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education’s Regional Meet 2025 – South Zone began today (25th November 2025) at PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore.

Raghab P. Dash, Advisor-I, AICTE and Joint Secretary, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India, New Delhi, graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Vincent, Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST), Chennai, as the Guest of Honour.

Senguttuvan, Principal in charge of the college; Kannaian, Secretary; and IAKOKA Subramaniam, Chairman, Franstek Belts, Goa, were present at the inauguration.

The event brought together over 3,000 delegates from more than 300 Higher Education Institutions across South India. 397 colleges and 2500 students participated.

The meet emerges as one of the largest and most impactful innovation gatherings in the South Zone, reflecting the region’s growing leadership in education and entrepreneurial innovation.

A key highlight of the meet is the YUKTI Innovation Showcase, where student innovators present their groundbreaking prototypes and ideas.

This platform gives young minds national-level visibility and opportunities to interact with industry stakeholders, thereby empowering them to turn their ideas into reality and drive societal change.

Swadeshi Bodh showcases the vision for VIKSIT BHARAT 2047, along with a signature campaign and photo booth.

Additionally, the AICTE Productisation Fellowship Exhibition for the Rs. 10,00,000/- semi-finale evaluation features community-focused projects from fellows across the region. From sustainability initiatives to healthcare innovations, the exhibition highlights how student-led projects are addressing key social challenges and transforming lives.

The Udyami Bazaar Startup Expo adds a strong entrepreneurial dimension to the event. Early-stage startups pitch their ideas, showcase products, and network with investors and mentors.

This expo helps bridge the gap between innovation and commercialisation, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for young entrepreneurs in South India.

Participants also benefit from expert-led Master Classes on Innovation Management, Technology Adoption, and Intellectual Property (IP) Awareness.

Dedicated Mentorship Zones provide personalised guidance to innovators and startup teams, ensuring attendees are gaining valuable insights and practical knowledge to take their projects forward.
