Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust and Omni Health, Adelaide, Australia, jointly conducted the pre-finals of ROBOTHON 2K26, a Robotics Business Plan Competition, on February 5 and 6, 2026, at Hindusthan College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore.
The event was graced by the presence of Sarasuwathi, Managing Trustee; Priya, Executive Trustee and Secretary; Ponnusamy, Principal; and Sudhakar, Director of MBA.
Around 300 teams from various states showcased healthcare robotics ideas. Each team comprised students from technical and business management backgrounds, focusing on robotics-based startup concepts.
The top 40 selected teams will advance to the finals, and the top five teams will be awarded research grant funding from a pool starting at Rs. 9,00,000. In addition, the finalists will receive four weeks of intensive business coaching services.
The event aimed to encourage interest and engagement in robotics, technology, and engineering, while developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills through hands-on challenges. It also sought to foster creativity and innovation by enabling participants to design and plan robotic solutions for specific applications.
