Department of Business Administration (UG) at Hindusthan College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore, organised an International Seminar on the theme Global Management Practices and Sustainable Business Strategies – 2025 on 26th September 2025.

The seminar commenced with the first session addressed by Senthilkumar, Head, Department of Management, Skyline University, Nigeria. He delivered a keynote speech on the topic A Global – Indian Perspective for Achieving Sustainable Goals by 2030.

In his address, Senthilkumar focused on the evolving role of global and Indian management practices in aligning business operations with sustainable development goals (SDGs).

He highlighted the critical importance of integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into corporate strategies to drive long-term value creation.

Emphasising India’s unique position as an emerging economy with rich cultural and technological assets, he discussed innovative approaches Indian businesses can adopt to contribute meaningfully towards achieving the UN’s 2030 agenda.

Furthermore, he underlined the challenges and opportunities presented by globalisation in fostering sustainable business models and the need for collaboration across industries and countries to address global environmental and social issues.

The second session was delivered by Navaneethakrishnan  Rajagpal, Faculty at the College of Economics and Business Administration, University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Salalah, Sultanate of Oman.

He spoke on the topic “Shaping Sustainable Business Strategies through AI-Driven Workforce‘

In his address, Rajagpal focused on the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in creating sustainable business environments. He emphasised how AI technologies are revolutionising workforce management by enhancing productivity, optimising resource allocation, and enabling smarter decision-making processes.

Rajagpal highlighted the role of AI in fostering sustainability by reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, and supporting ethical labour practices. He also discussed how businesses can leverage AI to build resilient and adaptive strategies that respond effectively to the dynamic global market challenges while maintaining social and environmental responsibilities.

Furthermore, he underlined the importance of upskilling the workforce to effectively collaborate with AI tools, thereby driving innovation and sustainable growth.

In the Presidential address, Principal Ponnusamy emphasised the vital importance of integrating sustainable practices into the core strategies of businesses to ensure long-term growth and environmental stewardship.

He highlighted the responsibility of educational institutions in nurturing future business leaders who are not only profit-driven but also socially and environmentally conscious.

Ponnusamy stressed the need for collaborative efforts between academia, industry, and government to foster innovation and sustainability. He also appreciated the international dimension of the seminar, which provided a valuable platform for sharing diverse perspectives and best practices in global management and sustainable business strategies.
