Gyproc business, a leader in light and sustainable construction solutions, and an entity owned by Saint-Gobain commissioned India’s first Near-Net Zero Gypsum Ceiling Tiles Plant in Visakhapatnam.
The state-of-the-art plant that was commissioned in December 2025, has an annual production capacity of 5 million square metres and will manufacture Gyprex PVC Laminated Gypsum Ceiling Tiles. Its strategic location enables faster market access, consistent quality, and adherence to global manufacturing standards.
The plant is equipped with advanced systems, including a modern dust collection system, underscoring the company’s strong focus on operational excellence, workplace safety, and environmental stewardship.
Products manufactured at the facility comply with BS EN 520 and BS EN 14190 standards, ensuring superior durability and performance for commercial and institutional applications. This first Near- Net Zero Gypsum Ceiling Tiles plant is aligned with Saint-Gobain’s global sustainability roadmap of achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2050.
