SSVM World School organised Guidance Festival and Skill Expo at the school premises on 18th September 2024.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest V. Balakrishnan, Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore and the Eminent Guest Sh. Satish Kumar, Deputy Secretary, CBSE.
The event offers students essential guidance on career development and the significance of skill-building.
The event featured a range of informative sessions led by distinguished speakers.
Satish Kumar inaugurated the festival with an insightful address on skill development in students, followed by the Chief Guest V. Balakrishnan address, who delivered a promising speech on the role of skilling in employment generation.
Manju, Director of Placements, discussed the importance of assessment reports and career recommendations, while Jeevan Uthaman, entrepreneur and organizational development specialist, emphasized the critical role of the Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) in skilling efforts.
Heena Bhardwaj, Project Head at MESC, expanded on the impact of MESC in promoting skill development across industries.
The final session was delivered by Arun Kumar, Senior Software Developer at IBM, who highlighted the growing role of technology and artificial intelligence in modern skilling.
Over 250 students were part of this festival.
The CBSE Skill Expo 2024, held alongside the festival, showcased 49 innovative projects from students representing 30 schools.
These projects were evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges, including Prakash Muthusamy, Senior Software Architect at IBM, and Sivakumar Chinnasamy, Senior Application Architect at IBM, both recognized experts in artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and modernization.
