Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial (GKNM) Hospital, Coimbatore, in association with Children’s HeartLink and Mayo Clinic, USA, recently organised its fifth Masterclass on live demonstrations and discussions on Cone Repair in Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery.

The program focused on the latest advancements in technology, diagnosis, and treatment in this specialized field. Approximately 40 delegates from across India participated in the masterclass, benefiting from the expertise shared.

Dr. Joseph A. Dearani, Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic, USA, led the program, sharing his extensive knowledge and insights through case scenarios. Other distinguished speakers included Dr. Nathan Taggart, Cardiologist, Mayo Clinic; Dr. Grace Atiaga, Intensivist of the clinic; Dr. Michael Nemergut, Cardiac Anaesthetist; and Jackie Boucher, President of Children’s HeartLink.

Dr. Vijayakumar, Director of Paediatric Congenital Heart Disease at GKNM Hospital, coordinated the course. Dr. P. Chandrasekar, Chairman of Cardiothoracic Surgery at GKNM Hospital, welcomed the dignitaries.
