Githanjali Public School, Coimbatore, hosted the 46th Coimbatore Sahodaya Interschool Throwball Tournament for Girls on October 13th and 14th at the school.
The two-day event featured 86 teams and over 1,028 players representing 50 CBSE schools.
The tournament was inaugurated by Ramaswamy, Former President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi.
In his address, he applauded the participants’ dedication and urged them to play with integrity and determination. The ceremony also included a pledge on road safety.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Rear Admiral V.M. Doss, Former Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air Materiel). He reminded the young athletes that true victory lies in coordination, trust, and respect, both on and off the field.
Githanjali Public School emerged as champions in both the Under-12 and Under-16 categories, while Honey Bunch Senior Secondary School clinched the Under-14 title, and National Model Senior Secondary School, Coimbatore, triumphed in the Under-19 category.
Other dignitaries present on the dais included Alagiriswamy, Chairman of Githanjali Institutions, and Kavita, Principal of the school.
