FICCI Ladies Organization, Coimbatore inaugurated FLO Shakti Center to facilitate a sustainable livelihood for 20 deserving families at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Dream Special School at Katoor on Thursday.
FLO Coimbatore is establishing this as an Urban Skilling & Livelihood Centre — a structured initiative to train, prepare, package, and handhold beneficiaries in the production and sale of Idli & Dosa Batter, Sevai, and Idiyappam, for the first time within the city.
Along with the launch of this center, 11 sewing machines, 3 wet grinders and 3 laptops were donated to mothers of autistic children identified by Third Eye AutismCentre & mothers of juvenile diabetics identified by Masonic hospital, to support them.
Aparna Sunku, Chairperson, FLO Coimbatore Chapter inaugurated the center along with CA Suguna Ravichandran, Founder member & Past Chairperson of FLO. Jayashree Kota, Project Chair – FLO Shakti, Preetha Badrinathan and other members of FLO Coimbatore joined the inauguration of the center and distribution of welfare assistance to the beneficiaries.
