Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) organised an expert talk on “The Role of AI and Analytics in Modern Management” on 27 January 2026, highlighting the growing significance of technology-driven decision-making in contemporary business practices.
In her inaugural address, Valarmathi, Principal and CEO, underscored the importance of applying AI skills in a purposeful and responsible manner to create measurable value.
She emphasised the need for students to continuously upskill and adapt to technological advancements in order to remain competitive and relevant in an increasingly dynamic business environment.
Delivering the expert lecture, Stanley Moses, Founder of Data Pattern, commended the students for effectively utilising the opportunities provided by the institution and for contributing meaningfully to its growth.
He shared industry insights on how AI and analytics are reshaping managerial functions across domains such as strategy, operations, marketing, and human resources.
He encouraged students to actively leverage social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, not only to expand their professional networks but also to gain deeper domain-specific knowledge and stay updated on industry trends.
Stanley Moses further motivated students to view pressure as a privilege, emphasising that challenges play a crucial role in accelerating personal and professional growth.
He highlighted that AI is rapidly disrupting all components of management and noted that customisation and personalisation are critical for the effective and ethical use of AI in organisational contexts.
The session concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), followed by an interactive discussion during which students directly engaged with Stanley Moses, gaining practical insights from his industry experience.
