The Coimbatore Institute of Technology was awash with nostalgia and joy as the Class of 1999 gathered to celebrate their Silver Jubilee Reunion. Over 160 alumni, accompanied by their families, returned to the hallowed halls of their alma mater to relive cherished memories and forge new ones.
The day’s events kicked off with a heartfelt tribute to the batch’s former professors, setting a tone of reverence and respect. A group photograph captured the essence of the reunion, marking a memorable moment for all. The alumni’s generosity shone brightly as they collectively donated towards the construction of a new wellness centre for the college.
The festivities continued with a delightful performance by the Dramatic Club, featuring a lively dance routine by the “young and naughty boys”. The energetic performance evoked laughter and nostalgia, taking everyone back to their college days. The emotional highlight of the day came in the afternoon with a touching music show by CIT99 Alumni. Their soulful performance resonated deeply, bringing many alumni to tears and reinforcing the strong bonds formed during their college years.
The celebrations culminated in a grand Gala dinner at Le Meridian. The evening was a fitting conclusion to a day filled with joy, reminiscence, and camaraderie, extending the festivities well into the night.
