Dr. NGP Institute of Technology marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the AICTE IDEA Lab and the Dr. NGP Makers Space on 6th August 2025.
This achievement aligns with the institution’s vision to empower students through cutting-edge innovation and hands-on learning opportunities.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman & Managing Director of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, and Ramasamy, Chairman of Roots Group of Companies, Coimbatore. Together, they unveiled the state-of-the-art facilities.
The event was graced by the presence of several eminent personalities, including Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary of the Institute; Dr. Arun N. Palaniswami and Mathura V. Palaniswami, Trustees of Dr. NGP Research and Educational Trust; Buvaneswaran, Chief Executive Officer; Muthusamy, Director of Academics; and Dr. Prabha, Principal of the Institute.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami praised the addition of these advanced facilities, emphasizing their importance in fostering innovation and practical skill development among students.
In his Chief Guest address, Ramasamy highlighted the significance of industry-academia collaboration and encouraged students to leverage these resources to nurture creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
AICTE IDEA Lab
The lab has been established to offer students access to cutting-edge resources for design, prototyping, and entrepreneurship—bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

This collaborative platform allows students to transform their ideas into reality while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
